Terms of Use

These Terms apply to all kimono rental services (“Rental Items”) and related services provided by Kimono Rental wargo (“the Store”), operated by Compass Corp. (“the Company”). By using the service, entering the Store, or accessing the Company’s website or social media (“the Company’s Website”), all customers (“Customers”) are considered to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  1. All users—individuals, corporations, paid or unpaid, or companions—are considered to have agreed to these Terms when using the service or accessing the Company’s Website.
  2. Agreement to these Terms applies even when the reservation is made through methods other than the official website.
  3. These Terms take priority over verbal explanations or information from third-party websites.
  4. Any party selling or promoting the service must correctly explain these Terms. The Company is not responsible for incorrect explanations.


2. Changes to Terms

  1. The Company may revise the Terms when necessary.
  2. Changes will be announced on the Company’s Website or by another appropriate method. Revised Terms apply from the effective date.


3. Reservations & Cancellations

  1. A reservation is confirmed once accepted by the Company.
  2. Cancellations must be submitted via the link in the confirmation email or through the contact form.
  3. Cancellation fees vary depending on the rental type (ceremonial, tourist, delivery).
  4. Cancellations due to Company reasons (disasters, closures) incur no fees. Health-related cancellations are considered customer-initiated.
  5. Refunds are processed based on the payment method; bank transfer fees are borne by the customer.
  6. Communication fees related to reservations/cancellations are the customer’s responsibility.
  7. Major changes to reservation details may be treated as cancellations.


4. Service Provision

  1. Service hours and availability follow what is shown on the Company’s Website.
  2. Fees may change depending on plans or selections made at the Store.
  3. Rental kimonos and tools are used items. Minor wear or dirt does not qualify for compensation.


5. Refusal of Service
Service may be refused if:

  • The customer is pregnant or has conditions that could be harmed by the service.
  • There is risk of infection to staff.
  • The customer violates these Terms or laws.
  • Items prohibited for storage are brought in (valuables, dangerous items, perishables, illegal items).

The Company may limit kimono options due to physical requirements, but this is not discrimination.

6. Prohibited Acts
Customers must not:

  • Lend, sublease, or misuse rental items.
  • Use rental items for illegal or harmful activities.
  • Provide false information.
  • Misuse the website server.
  • Engage in behavior that damages the Company’s reputation.


7. Disclaimer
The Company is not responsible for damages caused by:

  • Delays from congestion.
  • Weather, disasters, epidemics, or unavoidable closures.
  • Differences between photos and actual items.
  • Personal expectations of styling.
  • Skin irritation from standard products.
  • Injuries or accidents not caused by Company negligence.
  • Luggage loss under specific conditions.

Compensation, if applicable, is limited to actual damages.

8. Returns & Late Fees

  1. Return deadlines follow what is stated on the website.
  2. Customers pay repair fees for dirt or damage unless covered by the Peace of Mind Plan.
  3. Late fees apply per day for overdue returns (different for in-store and delivery rentals).
  4. Failure to return items may result in charges up to full retail value and lost profits.


9. Peace of Mind Plan

  1. Optional low-cost coverage for minor stains or small repairable damage.
  2. Major damages (blood, oil, burns, shrinkage, vomiting, etc.) are not fully covered.
  3. Intentional damage, strong odors, intoxication, criminal acts, or loss are excluded.


10. Exclusion of Antisocial Forces
The Company may immediately cancel reservations if the customer:

  • Is involved with organized crime groups,
  • Engages in threats, violence, or interference,
  • Damages the Company’s credibility.


11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms follow Japanese law. Unresolved disputes will be handled by the Tokyo District Court.
