Can I book a kimono in advance?
No, we are not dealing with this service.
Any makeup service available?
We do not offer any makeup service.
Is there anything I should bring to your store?
No, you do not need to bring anything. The things that you need to wear with Kimono such as the undergarments, socks and sandals, etc. are included in our plans. It gets very cold during winter in Kyoto. If you are worried about weather, you can bring a thin T-shirt with a wide neckline. We will dress kimono outside of it.
Concerning the cancelation of reservation paid via credit card:
If you cancel in a delay of 60 days after your payment, the refund will be proceed via credita card. If the cancelation is ordered 61 days after the payment, the refund will be proceed via bank transfer. Please keep in mind that the bank transfer fee will be charged to the customer. *Bank transfer fee and international change fee will be charged for international customers.In the case of a Japanese Bank, fee of $20 will be charged. We will contact you to explain the procedure for the payment of those fee. In the case of International Bank, the fee of $20 will be converted into the customer foreign currency.
Can I ask for dressing in the morning or at night?
The regular opening time is 10:00 AM (11:00 AM for the Osaka Shinsaibashi store). We do not accommodate early morning or late-night requests. However, during busy periods, we may accept reservations starting from 9:00 AM, so please check the reservation form for details.
Kimono Dressing FAQs
Do you have kimonos for tall people?
Kimono size is about 150 cm ~ 175 cm for women, about 165 cm ~ 200 cm for men and some can be expanded during the dressing. Although it can be worn around even to some extent, please note that it may be canceled if it too difficult to dress. Because we only some of extra sizes, please consult us at the time of reservation.
Do you have kimonos for children?
Yes, we do. We have small kimonos with sizes from 90cm to 125cm and small yukatas with sizes from 90cm to 140cm for children.
Can i select obi and kimono accessories?
Yes, you can. Customers can choose obi and other small accessories for themselves. If you are not confident in combination, our staff will help you, please feel free to ask them.
How long does it take for dressing?
The dressing time is about 1 hour. But, it may take about 90 minutes to get dressed in Kimono during the spring and autumn, the peak seasons. Please be aware!
What should i do if i get the kimono dirty?
In case you get the Kimono dirty, do not try to clean it or repair it. Just write down how it gets dirty in a paper form when you return the Kimono. We may charge you the actual fee for laundry or repair if the Kimono gets dirty or damaged remarkably. If you lose the Kimono or the Kimono accessories, we will charge you actual expenses.
Kimono Return FAQs
Can I extend the rental period?
Yes, as a general rule, it will be returned on the same day. However, you can extend the rental period until 3pm the next day.
What should I do if I can’t return the kimono by the same-day deadline?
First, please call the store as soon as possible.
If you are unable to return it on the same day, a late fee of RM50 will be charged. In addition, the next-day return option (RM50) will be applied, resulting in a total charge of RM100 upon return.
Please make sure to return the kimono by 3:00 PM the following day.
If the return is delayed beyond the next day, an additional daily rental plan fee will be charged for each extra day.
(For example, if returning on the second day: RM50 next-day return fee + RM50 late fee + rental plan fee)
Late fee: This is charged when the kimono is not returned by the agreed date and time, regardless of whether we are notified in advance.
Until what time should I return the Kimono?
It varies by store. The return hours for each store are listed as store information on the website’s store page, so please refer to that.
May I ask you to deliver my clothes and belongings to my hotel?
No, we are not dealing with this service.
Can I return the Kimono outside business hours?
